Hello Friends,
I hope you are doing well. Yesterday I decorated a gingerbread house! I haven't done this since I was in grade one at school. It was fun putting the icing on with the icing pack and decorating with the candies that were provided in the kit. I enjoyed being a kid again and decorating the house. I copied some of the décor like the roof from the box from the kit because I just loved their idea. I added a few of my own touches to try to be more creative as well.
I bought this gingerbread house kit from a local grocery store, Metro. It is their irresistables brand and I am happy with the amount of candies they provided for my use. I would suggest to get a bit more candies if you really want to add a lot more décor since they provided four different candies and the icing.
The house I used came prebuilt which worked for me and I just did the decorating.
I added the green candies along the walkway to resemble hedges and also used the jube jubes as the two bushes as they had in the photo on the box. I added the two candy canes above the door in a heart shape and candy canes along the windowsills. I added the gingerbread men above the door. I covered the part surrounding the house with icing to resemble snow. I also added two snow piles in front of the house.
Thank you for visiting my blog today! I hope that you enjoyed seeing my finished gingerbread house. It was fun doing a project like this and I recommend decorating one yourself. I decorated mine with Christmas music in the background and it was very relaxing for a Sunday night. Hope to see you again tomorrow for blogmas day 21!
Have a great day!
Fun activity, looks so cute!
