Christmas Bucket List - Blogmas day 4

Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. Today I am sharing my Christmas bucket list! There are so many fun things to do at Christmas time, and I am looking forward to traditions and some new activities to enjoy this holiday season.

Go to Nights of Lights - Last year I had so much fun at Nights of Lights in Vaughan. It was a drive thru light show last year because the pandemic was going on and we were really keeping distance from others at the time. This year it is a walk through market and light show and we have tickets to go check it out. Below is a photo of the reindeer from last year's show. It was such a special evening to be able to go to the drive thru and enjoy the lights and music. The radio station we were on synched up with the lights, so it was fun to listen to the music and see the lights flash along with the music.

Decorate a gingerbread house - We bought a gingerbread house last night at the grocery store. I plan on decorating it with Liam in about a week. It will be fun to decorate a gingerbread house. It has been so long since I did this last and it will be like being a kid again.

Make mulled wine - I love mulled wine when I have enjoyed it at Christmas markets, and it would be fun to try out making it myself this year. It is always so comforting and delicious at Christmas time.

Watch all of my favourite Christmas movies - every year I miss out on watching all of my favourite movies because I just don't make the time or make a point of watching. Last year, I was happy to watch A Miracle on 34th Street while decorating the Christmas tree. I watched a couple others as well. My favourites are: Miracle on 34th Street, It's a Wonderful Life (always watch this one on Christmas Eve), How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Charlie Brown Christmas, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, The Santa Clause, Love Actually, The Polar Express, Elf, and The Holiday. Some movies I haven't seen before that would be fun to check out are: White Christmas and Die Hard.

Knit a stocking for our kitten Millie - We adopted Millie in July and it has been wonderful having her here with us. I wanted to knit her a mini version of our jumbo Christmas stockings this year, so we can all have matching stockings. It will be fun to put some little treats and toys in the stocking for her on Christmas day to enjoy.

Bake shortbread cookies - shortbread cookies are so delicious and special at Christmas and I want to make some of them this year. Last year I had so much fun baking cookies each week. This year I will be maybe cutting back on the amount of cookies I make, but I have to make shortbread cookies.
