Knitting Baby Santa Hat and Advent - Blogmas Day 8

 Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. I hope you are enjoying blogmas so far. I have been enjoying posting daily blog entries that are all Christmas related. I am also enjoying reading your comments and also visiting other bloggers participating in blogmas and also those who aren't. It is such a special time of year when I love everything to be festive all the time.

I am still knitting a baby Santa Hat for my nephew. I am using the pattern baby Santa hat by Christina Toppen on Ravelry. I can't wait to see him wearing the hat and I will be giving the hat to my sister this weekend when I finish it and gift it to them. So far I just got to the part of the pattern of the decrease knit 5 then knit 2 together and will soon knit 3 rows, then decrease row again to knit 4 then 2 together. I am getting so close to finishing it, then will make the pom pom for the end of the hat.

I have been opening the Lindtt advent calendar with Lindtt chocolate daily leading up to Christmas. I have also been enjoying the Jacquie Lawson advent calendar. I love the daily videos featuring animals and heartfelt messages. I like that there are also activities like puzzles, matching games, and decorating trees and your home. This calendar is fun and relaxing, I love the illustrations and the music as well. Below is a screenshot from the calendar for yesterday's advent. You can get a membership and have access to the e-cards as well, but I just paid for the advent calendar for now.

My Mom bought Millie a Christmas gift  that she could open early, How cute is this Santa from IKEA? He is in the shape of a heart with arms that velcro closed together. She likes chewing on the end of his hat and batting it around. I think she is liking it so far and having fun with her new toy.

I have been reading The Bookshop of Yesterdays and also The Santa Suit by Mary Kat Andrews. The Santa Suit is so cute so far and can't wait to read on. I love the festive scenery and I like the story so far.

Joining along with As Kat Knits for Unraveled Wednesday.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! See you again for tomorrow's post for blogmas day 9!

Have a great day!
