Blogmas Day 16 - Finished Knitting Ridge Rib Men's Scarf, Updates, and Reading On

 Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. It is Blogmas day 16! I have been enjoying posting daily Christmas content on the blog. It does sometimes get a bit tiring, but I really love it, so I think it is worth it. It is a fun challenge and I enjoy connecting with other bloggers and also thinking of topics to cover over the 25 days. This morning, and snapped some photos for this blog post. Which is why the pictures might look so dark. It felt like the middle of the night this morning at 7:30 am, it is a very dark morning.

I finished knitting the Ridge Rib Men's scarf pattern by Purl Avenue for Liam. He's been seeing me knit it for months, so it won't be much of a surprise. It is hard to keep it a surprise when we are in quarantine and always together. This was a nice and easy pattern. I was nice to knit while watching Hallmark Christmas movies. Anyone else hooked on watching those?

Pattern Details:

Pattern: Ridge Rib Men's scarf pattern by Purl Avenue

Needles: straight needles size US 10, 6.0 mm, as suggested in on the pattern

Yarn: Loops & Threads Impeccable yarn in the colorway black

I started knitting another wreath ornament to gift to family. I knitted this one was at 7 inches long and I think I will continue with the modification for the gifts, because it is tighter and keeps the round wreath shape better. Now I just need to knit the bow. I am using the pattern Christmas Wreath Ornament. More details you can see in my post on the wreath here.

Here's how our Christmas tree is looking these days. I have now wrapped some gifts, and I am making progress on getting ready for Christmas. I can't believe it is next week!

I am making my way through my Lindor Advent calendar. These chocolates so so delicious. There are less doors to open now!

We bought a bar stool chair from IKEA and I can't wait to put it together to set up at our breakfast bar area in the kitchen. We are slowly making our house a home, it has been such a busy time of year to move and will lockdown it slows our progress. I will share how the bar looks when we have the chair set up. Tonight's project!

I am continuing on reading Atomic Habits by James Clear, 13th Gift by Joanne Smith, and Beach Read by Emily Henry. I am reading Atomic Habits most of the time in the morning, and then Beach Read at night. 13th Gift isn't grabbing me right now. I might not finish it and just focus on the others. We'll see.
