Weekend Cleaning and Reading on

Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. This weekend I got groceries Saturday, went on walks, and I will be going to visit my family this afternoon. I am so glad I can go visit with my family again, I really missed seeing them in person and just hanging out. This is the third time I have seen them during quarantine. The Facetime calls with my family have been wonderful though as a replacement and I enjoyed catching up each week when we were in the more serious times during quarantine and we still do them weekly when we don't see each other most weekends. Now we are allowed groups up to 10 people, and so I just have my family now in my circle and Liam. I haven't seen friends or other people in order to prevent spreading the virus. Today I cleaned out the fridge and it looks a lot better and more empty. It felt so good to get this task done especially in quarantine when I have more time to get this done. I have been putting off some of those big cleaning or organizing tasks, so it is nice to make some progress.

Saturday morning breakfast and coffee

I worked more on the cat puzzle today. I feel like I am so close to being done! I just get stuck on some pieces so I had to stop to get ready to go out for the day.

I was reading the book Everything is F*cked: A Book About Hope by Mark Manson this weekend. I am really enjoying it and find it funny how blunt Mark is at times. I really think this book will be so good to read about the important role that hope plays in our lives. I am also continuing to read Average is the New Awesome by Samantha Matt. This one is expiring soon on my overdrive so I might try to read this one more in the next few days.

I am still searching for that next knitting project and think I am getting closer to figuring out what it will be. I have my eye on some cute summer tops and some cowls. I think the summer top would be fun to knit and I can wear it now. I will keep on the search and hopefully by Wednesday I have a new project on the needles.

It is getting better here with the pandemic. Patios are now open and people still continue to practice social distancing. I see a lot of people wearing masks and taking it seriously. Hopefully it continues to improve and we can get married at our chosen venue in October. I am still hopeful for that and really want to be able to marry Liam this year if all goes well.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today! How was your weekend?

Have a great day!

  1. Lovely puzzle! I am glad you are seeing your family, like you I missed seeing my family in real life. I keep hoping that one day we could get back to regular life.
