Busy Summer and Catching Up on Knitting and Reading

Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. I have been well but busy! Last weekend I went to my sister's Bachelorette weekend getaway to Niagara-on-the-lake. We went to three wineries and did a tour and tastings. It was so nice to spend time with her and her friends. I have been busy with work too. There have been some changes moving desks and changing managers and it all takes me time to adjust. I am liking my new surroundings and getting used to it. I will be starting training this week on something new and I am looking forward to learning how to do more tasks and cross-training. I have finally joined a GoodLife gym near me and with that I also now have a personal trainer and I have been going to meet with him on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a couple of weeks now. He is super positive and encouraging and I am glad I signed on with him. I am already feeling stronger and leaner.  So with all of this going on, sadly knitting had been put on the back burner a bit.

I have been continuing on with knitting the ribbed fingerless mitts and had a chance to knit a lot when we were camping. I also knit a lot of it yesterday when I finally had some time to sit down, watch some YouTube vlogger's videos, and knit.

I still have to sew up the seams of the Wool and the Gang Farrah Billie Jean top. I am finished knitting the pieces, I just have to sew them together. It is just a matter of sitting down one day and doing it then I will be done. It is hard during the week now to find time after work so I might have to work on it a little each night.

I have been reading Surprise Me by Sophie Kinsella. I am enjoying it so far and picked it up because I have always loved Sophie Kinsella's novels. I have read most of them and I am looking forward to reading more.

Thank you for visiting today! I will be posting more frequently again, once each week now that it is less busy!

Hope you have a great day and week ahead!

  1. Hi Lisa, I enjoyed reading your blog. I've not read anything by Sophie Kinsella but you're the second person that's mentioned her. Hope your work settles and you can resume your hobbies. Take care & have a good week. Cathy x
