Hello Friends,
I hope you are doing well. I finished knitting the ornament on chart 5 of the Merry Fair Isle ornaments by Patons. I love these ornaments and I have now knitted three of the ornaments to put on the tree at Christmas.
Project Details:
Pattern: Merry Fair Isle Ornaments by Patons in Yarnspirations, chart 5
Needles: US 3, 3.25 mm double pointed needles. I used bamboo Clover brand needles.
Yarn: Loops & Threads Joy DK in red and white
Ravelry Notes: notes
I am not sure what my next project will be. I am thinking of taking a trip to Michaels soon to stock up on yarn. After over six months of not going yarn shopping, I feel excited thinking about it. I am going to knit some gifts for Christmas for Liam and my family. So I will need to stock up on some yarn and for some other projects.
This past weekend I visited my parents.sister, and brother in law to celebrate my sister's birthday. I live about 40 minutes away from them so I make some special trips and stay over night most of the time. We went to a nice restaurant by the lake and walked along the lake after dinner. I spent some time hanging out with Moo and Roo as well. It was so nice spending this time with all of them and I have missed these visits more during Covid-19 with social distancing, so I really appreciate that we can spend time together now doing normal things.

I have started reading Normal People by Sally Rooney. It seems good so far. I just started reading a bit of it yesterday when I got my hold from the library on Overdrive. I will let you know how I am liking it as I read on. I am still reading Everything is F*cked by Mark Manson. He is now talking about people's values and not using people as a means to an end and instead, treat relationships with people as the end. I agree, it is good reminder to always treat others the way we wish to be treated and that our connection with them is the goal and that we are not being used to get something else in return.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope that you are keeping safe and if your little ones have gone back to school now that they are safe and enjoy the beginning of their school year. I have been watching the news thinking now would be an especially tough time for parents and kids getting back to the routine of going to school. I hope that all goes well with this return and that we can keep healthy and that social distancing and the wearing of masks helps avoid more spread in classrooms.
Have a good day!
I hope the mask wearing will increase. We see not much of it here in Wisconsin!
