Knitting Ornament, Reflection, and Reading Updates

Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. I knitted more of the Merry Fair Isle ornament by Patons. I first found the pattern on Ravelry. I am knitting the pattern on chart 5 with the Christmas trees. I like how it is starting to look like trees now that I have knitted more of the pattern, and I can't wait to finish the ornament collection to hang them all on the tree. For any other Christmas lovers, it is only four months away now. I need to get knitting gifts soon.

This morning I went for a walk around the neighborhood before work. It was a beautiful day today and there was a crispness to the air today which made me feel excited for the Fall. I was reflecting on time passing, change, and how its been these past 5 months during the pandemic and quarantine.

It is so wonderful when you feel like positive changes are coming your way, and I can feel the changes coming just like the change in the slight change in the air. I know that moving to our townhouse in a different area will have a big positive impact on our lives and I am ready for it. I will miss these walks around my neighborhood that have kept me in good spirits during this pandemic. I have walked by this same spot so many times, looking up at the trees, bringing me peace. Nature is so healing.

I have finished reading The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman. I had lost the hold and got it back this week then finished reading it last night. It is such a good book and I really loved the characters and the story. I highly recommend. and the author has a couple of other books I want to read. I am currently reading Sorry I'm Late, I Didn't Want to Come: An Introvert's Year of Living Dangerously by Jessica Pan. I am also continuing to read Everything is F*cked by Mark Manson. Both are funny and so true and make me think about the world and some of the things we don't realize about our lives.
