Stitchy Saturday Seersucker Stitch

Hello Friends,

I hope you are all doing well. I tried the Seersucker stitch this week. It is a simpler stitch and consists of knitting and purling and includes repetition of rows, which makes it easier.  In the end you have diamond shapes in your knitting which would be a nice detail on hats, scarves, and blankets.

What stitch:

This week I tried the Seersucker Stitch

Pattern:
Cast on multiples of 4
Rows 1 and 2: K1, P1, K1, P1
Row 3: P1, K3
Row 4: P3, K1
Rows 5  and 6: K1, P1, K1, P1
Row 7: K2, P1, K1
R01 8: P1, K1, P2
Repeat rows  1-8

What I thought:
I like the pattern because it is simple and easy to follow. I like the way the stitch pattern looks like rows of diamonds when finishing the 8 rows. I would use this stitch to add texture to scarves, hats, blankets.

Knitter level:
Beginner:  It is a simple pattern and I think this one would be perfect for new knitters because it is only using knitting and purling and not too challenging, but still fun when you see the result!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog, it is always a pleasure to read your comments and your feedback on the stitch patterns. Have you knitted this stitch before and what did you make with it?
