Knitting my first sock: almost done knitting the foot!

Hello Friends,

How are you? are you enjoying working on your knitting projects?   I am definitely enjoying knitting my first sock! I am almost done knitting the foot of the sock then I am onto the next step which is toe shaping.  I have found the YouTube videos from Very Pink Knits very helpful in learning how to knit up my first sock.

Here is is so far!

The next photo I post of the sock will be when it is done! I am looking forward to trying on the sock and the feeling of accomplishment of finishing my first pair of socks.  What do you enjoy knitting most? the sock has been fun they might be a new favorite of mine to knit but before socks I love knitting hats :)

Take care,
Lisa :)

Knitting my first sock: Setting up my sock!

Hello friends,

I just got back from my family camping trip! It was great and we all had such a wonderful time together.  It was with my parents, my sister and her boyfriend, and my boyfriend.  I really enjoyed all being together and getting into different conversations during the three days.  I think it brought us all closer together too and it was such a relaxing time getting away from work and other responsibilities for a few days.

Our campfire the second night

Sun setting the second night such a beautiful sky

In knitting news I am still working away on the sock! I just finished turning the heel and have all my work set up on the needles to start knitting the foot of the sock and then to start shaping the toes.

Thank you for stopping by ! hope to see you again soon :)

Take care,
Lisa :)

Knitting my first socks

Hello Friends!

Yesterday I started knitting a sock by following a very easy to follow video posted on Youtube by Verypink Knits.  I have wanted to knit socks the proper way for so long and this video shows you step by step how to knit socks. Verypink Knits founder Staci is very good at explaining and demonstrating in her videos for viewers to understand and follow along successfully.  She offers viewers the chance to also purchase the pattern on the youtube page. You can find out more about Staci's tutorials and more at verypink.com!

So far I have knitted the short 2 inch cuff and have knitted the heel flap.  I am currently about to start video three of the "Learn to knit Magic loop socks" video tutorials.

As always I am so happy that you have stumbled upon my blog! thank you for visiting :)

Take care,

Lisa :)
