How to Knit the Embossed Diamonds Knit Stitch - Stitchy Saturday

Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. Today I knitted the embossed diamonds stitch. This stitch looks so elegant and adds a nice detail to a piece.


Pattern:

Embossed diamonds knit stitch

CO in multiples of 33
Row 1 [RS]: P1, K1, P1 *[K3, P1] x2, K1, P1*
Row 2: P1, K1 *P3, K1, P1, K1, P3, K1* P1
Row 3: K4 *[P1, K1] x2, P1, K5* last 9 sts: [P1, K1] x2, P1, K4
Row 4: P3 *[K1, P1] x3, K1, P3*
Row 5: K4 *[P1, K1] x2, P1, K5* last 9 sts: [P1, K1] x2, P1, K4
Row 6: P1, K1 *P3, K1, P1, K1, P3, K1* P1
Row 7: P1, K1, P1 *[K3, P1] x2, K1, P1*
Row 8: P1, K1, P1 *K1, P5 [K1, P1] x2
Row 9: [P1, K1] x2 *P1, K3 [P1, K1] x3* last 9 sts: P1, K3 [P1, K1] x2, P1
Row 10: P1, K1, P1 *K1, P5 [K1, P1] x2

Repeat rows 1-10 until desired length.

Pattern from Brome Fields 

It was fun knitting this stitch! I think it would make any piece look lovely. I was thinking it would look great on a hat or blanket. I will be making this piece into a cowl for this winter. It is hard to see from the dark photo but the yarn is so sparkly and makes me think of New Year's Day.
