Progress on Knitting Projects and Reading Updates

Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. It has been awhile since I last posted and it has been a busy month. I got a permanent position at my contract position and we had a bridal shower for my sister last weekend. It has been a fun and exciting month. I have missed knitting and blogging but I will be back at it now. I have been working on knitting the back piece of the Wool and the Gang Farrah Billie Jean tank top and the decadent socks.

The decadent socks are coming along well. I am still currently working on the cuff of the sock and loving how the pattern is turning out. I am using Patons Kroy sock yarn in the colorway Tourmaline Stripes which give it the stripes in the sock. I love the colors of gray and navy blue. The pattern is decadent socks on Ravelry if you are interested.

For the Wool and the Gang Farrah Billie jean tank top, the back piece is still in progress. I really want to finish this piece soon to be able to sew the front piece I already knitting with this piece and hopefully have the finished tank in time for Summer.

I finished reading Commonwealth by Ann Patchett and loved this book. I enjoyed reading about the characters and their relationships and how they grow and change over the years. It is also interesting how more comes to light about the relationships between the parents as you read on. I am currently reading Uncommon Type by Tom Hanks which is a collection of short stories. It was recommended by a vlogger I follow and I decided to give it a read.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! I hope you enjoy your weekend and I will have more updates to share with you soon.

Knitting Progress and Reading On

Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. It has been a awhile since I have written about my knitting progress and I am happy to be back here again this week sharing with you. Thank you for your feedback on my post last week about self-care. I think it is such an important topic because when you are working all week long or have a busy schedule, it is important to think of what you need to feel your best and most balanced to help you keep doing your best.

I have made progress on the Wool and the Gang Farrah Billie Jean top by working on the decreasing to make the armholes. I am almost finished and can't wait to be finished and put the pieces together.

I started knitting decadent socks by Janice Kuykendall that I found on Ravelry. I have not made a lot of progress, but I am excited to continue working on them and see how they turn out. The pattern looks interesting and the finished projects on Ravelry I saw of them looked really beautiful.

I am continuing to read Commonwealth by Ann Patchett and looking forward to finishing it this weekend.

Joining along with Frontier Dreams for Crafting On and As Kat Knits for Unraveled Wednesday.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!
