Cottage trip

 Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. Last week I took a trip up north with my family to a cottage. My sister found the place on vrbo. It was such a cozy rustic cottage and it was so fun being there spending quality time with my parents, sister, brother in law, nephew, and my husband Liam. We stayed for a few nights and had pretty good weather except for Wednesday when it rained in the afternoon and evening.

There was a canoe provided at the cottage and my sister rented a couple of life jackets. Most of us took turns out in the canoe during our trip. I went out canoeing with my dad once and it was so peaceful being out on the water.

My dad made fires a couple of the nights and roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. It was fun listening to music and chatting by the fire.

I did some reading of book lovers but not too much. The afternoon I was reading on the dock I felt the sun's warmth on my legs and the sound of the water from the lake. It was so perfect.

On Thursday night the lighting was so beautiful on the trees.

On our last day at the cottage I did a bit of knitting by the lake. This was so peaceful and relaxing. It was a sunny perfect morning and I didn't want to leave.

This week I took a bump picture at 23 weeks. I am feeling bigger now and pretty good. I am feeling baby moving around a lot and they are pretty active in there.

Thank you for visiting my blog today as I shared a special trip to me. I can't wait now for our next family trip to the cottage maybe with a baby next time which is surreal.

Have a great day!

Blogmas Day 10: Cottage Trip in the Winter

Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. This weekend I went with Liam and his friends to a cottage for a couple of days. They found a cottage in Gravenhurst, which is a town in the Muskoka Region of Ontario, Canada. It was very spacious and cozy, and it was such a perfect spot for us to hang out for the weekend. There were so many different pieces of art and things to discover in the cottage. In our room for example, there were three different wooden bird houses on the wall and some burlap sack pieces hanging up. In some other rooms there was a secret hiding place made with wood and a loft area to sleep in that you can climb up into. I really like the creativity that was put into the decor of the cottage.

In the living room there were pieces of wooden planks nailed to the wall. Past guests of the cottage had written many messages on the pieces over the years. I forgot to take a photo of it, but I wrote Lisa heart Liam in red. Many of our friends also wrote messages on the wooden pieces.

I read Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis while at the cottage on our second day there. We had a lot of time to relax and do what we wanted. I read, worked on a puzzle, played pool, played darts, and air hockey. I also had a nice long nap too.

The view of the frozen lake with the blue skies from the back windows and door was beautiful and so picturesque.

The evening views were equally lovely to look at.

In the evenings, We spent a lot of time hanging out inside by the fireplace, eating, drinking, and playing games. I had a good time hanging out there with friends. It was especially nice at Christmas and there was a Christmas tree lit up in the corner of the living room area of the cottage.

I loved having the fire lit at all times too it added so much warmth and I loved watching the fire dancing around and sparking when more wood was added to it.
