Finished Knitting Waverly Weekend Cowl, Happy Mail, and Reading Updates

 Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. Thank you all for the well wishes in my house hunting last week! We bought a townhouse this past weekend it is official and we are so thrilled. We put in an offer on Saturday afternoon and it got accepted Saturday evening. We only felt like it was really official once all the tasks were complete like sending the deposit and seeing sold on the listing online. I cannot wait to move into our new home in November. Right after we get married in October. It will be a busy and exciting end of this crazy year for us.

I finished knitting the Waverly Weekend Cowl by Donna Brooks last night. Pattern is found on Ravelry. This one was so fun to knit and I enjoyed the change in pattern and the design created. In the end it looks like petals reaching up to a flower on a stem.

I knitted it a bit longer than the pattern requires, because I like having the length for when it is colder. I can pull it up over my face more to cover from the cold. Also I just didn't want to put the needles down and stop knitting this project.

Pattern Details:

Pattern: Waverly Weekend Cowl found on Ravelry

Designer: Donna Brooks

Needles: aluminum circular needles; size US 4, 3.5 mm

Yarn: from stash worsted weight yarn in a dark green colour.

Measurements Width: 11 inches by Height: 9.5 inches

Ravelry notes: my notes on the completed project

I got some fun mail today! it was the book sleeve I ordered from artist ArtisanalAne on Etsy.

I love the skeins of yarn in the ice cream cones. I like the little details like the buttons, the pin cushions, and the heart made from yarn. They also have a lot of other book sleeves with beautiful patterns. The shop is currently taking a short break and hopefully they are back soon. They are shipping from London, United Kingtom.

I finished reading One Day in December by Josie Silver. I really loved this book it was a page turner for me. I loved the characters and the story line. It was a fun romantic book to read and I will be reading more books by the author. I am continuing to read Everything is F*cked by Mark Manson. I admit I haven't been reading this book a lot and want to read it more now that I have finished a couple of books.  I also got the hold from the library of Sorry I'm late I didn't want to come: An Introvert's Year of Living Dangerously by Jessica Pan.  I think it will be a good read, funny, and lots to relate to.

Joining along with Frontier Dreams for Crafting On and As Kat Knits for Unraveled Wednesday.

Thank you for visiting today! What are you working on this week?

Have a good day!
