Eyelet Moss stitch cowl

Hello Friends,

How are you today?  this morning I went for a jog with my sister we are preparing for another Color me Rad run that is happening in July so we are working on our training.  I am also looking forward to a camping trip with my family and my boyfriend and my sister's boyfriend also happening in July.

I wanted to share some photos of the finished cowl I have been working on! this cowl is smaller than my other scarf projects and it is definitely a lighter option than the chunky infinity scarves I knitted for the colder winter weather.  I used the eyelet moss stitch to knit it up which I will post below the stitch is a simple pattern and I enjoyed using it to knit up the cowl.  I like the stitch because it also creates holes in the scarf that make the cowl more light and airy.  I knitted the cowl using two size 13 US needles and just bound off and weaved the end and beginning of the scarf together to form the round cowl.  The scarf was 24 inches long when bound off.  This length worked for me because I can easily get it over my head and it fits comfortably around my neck.  If you are deciding to do this same pattern and project make sure it is long enough for your own measurements. :)

Pattern used:  Eyelet moss stitch
pattern used from blog: knitting galore

Row 1: edge st, * p1, k1; repeat from * to last 2 sts, p1, edge st
Row 2: edge st, p1, * sl1pwyf, p1; repeat from * to last st, edge st

(edge stitch can be whatever you choose.  I chose to just do a knit stitch to keep it simple)
