New Knitting Project and Reading Progress

Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. I had finished knitting the Sunshine on my Feet socks and then was wondering what to work on for awhile. I knitted the bookmark, then realized that I don't have a lot of yarn right now. Not for big projects so I will have to maybe do curbside pickup at Michaels soon to get some to add to my dwindling stash. I had some dark green yarn that has been hanging around, and I have decided to knit a cowl with it. I looked on Ravelry last night and found a pattern called Waverly Weekend Cowl by Donna Brooks. I have started knitting it and I have only knit a few rows so far. It looks like it will be a lovely cowl to wear in the colder months when it is done.

I started to read The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman tonight. I got my hold on Overdrive today and when I saw I had the loan, I knew I would spend a lot of tonight reading it. I got to page 114 already. I haven't read that fast in quite awhile. I think because I can relate to the character because she loves books, seems to be an introvert, loves her cat, and talks about loving morning routine to set goals. I am looking forward to continuing on. I am still reading Everything is F*cked by Mark Manson and Average is the New Awesome by Samantha Matt. I am really enjoying these books as well. I really like to have a few books on the go I have noticed.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! I hope that you are still doing well with this covid situation and keeping safe and healthy. I still only go out on walks and to the grocery store and to visit my family and we keep our distance in case during these visits.

Have a good day!

  1. Our AC is BARELY keeping up today. So looking forward to the weekend when we head to our remote bush cabin WAY off in the wild blue yonder. We shop on the home front and take every thing we need (and then some) with us. It's a very long, dusty, bumpy, bone jarring distance to a store up there so once we're in,we're in. My knitting & reading bag is VERY full. The suitcase has nightclothes and clean underpants, I don't plan on changing out of the bathing suit until I put my street clothes on to come home again.
