Getting Things Done

Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. Is it just me or did January fly by so quickly? It feels like just yesterday it was Christmas and New Years, and now we are making our way into the year and are in February. I didn't post nearly the amount I wanted to in January. It was a busy month for me, I got trained on answering phone calls as part of my role and its been going way better than expected, but with it comes more responsibility and more time and less time to do the other tasks I still need to do. Its been busy learning to manage my time and get more adjusted to taking on more duties. Its been busy but it also excites me to be busy and have more expectations and I feel great when I can meet them.

This morning I will also be working on some wedding related planning, the wedding is 84 days away so it is getting real now. I still want to plan wedding favors, transportation, look at invitations and order them today to send next week, and more little things to plan. I am very excited for the wedding day and as it gets closer there are so many fun events planned leading up to it. I know once we have all the little details planned out and covered, I will feel so much more prepared and I am hoping to work on those details today and tomorrow before another busy week at work begins.

I have been continuing to knit the casual lace knit shawl. I haven't made all that much progress since my last post as I have been so tired after work and just being lazy.  I knitted a bit this morning again and it felt great to pick up the needles again after such a busy week working overtime and not finding as much "me time" as before.

I have also been continuing to read The Miracle Equation by Hal Elrod and liking the book so far. I find it a bit repetitive to his last book The Miracle Morning in the sense that he speaks of his accident again for quite awhile. I am not downplaying it, I just wanted more from this book than it is giving me I think. I still find it a more inspiring and positive read that encourages you to work hard and believe in yourself so that is never a bad thing to read more books like that. I am excited to finish this one and to move on to some of the other great books I received from Christmas.

Joining along with Frontier Dreams for Crafting On and As Kat Knits for Unraveled Wednesday.

I plan to post more often on the blog going forward and planning more time to write and knit and I think February will be a great month for getting things done and getting back on track!

Have a great day x
