Hello Friends,
I hope you are doing well. This weekend was a long weekend for us here in Canada, we had a holiday today called Family Day. I finished a couple of books and did some knitting project researching and wedding venue searching. I was off work todaym so I got chores done around the apartment, saw my family, and relaxed.
I have finished knitting the fingerless mittens for my mom and wanted to share them with you. I used 3.25 mm needles and used Patons Kroy sock yarn in the navy color. My mom selected this color of yarn for the fingerless mitts and I really like the color. I gave them to her today when I saw my family and glad to have given them to her while it is still cold out and she can use them before Spring. I am now planning what my next project will be using the Fleece Artist brand yarn, I wound up the yarn into a ball last night and will start knitting with it soon.
I finished reading Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty last night. It was such a good book! It had my interest from the start. I loved the development of the characters and their journeys and how they interacted with the setting and the things which transpired in the story. I was so intrigued by the whole setting of the house and the people and the circumstances that I kept wanting to read more especially toward the middle and end of the book. I definitely recommend this book. I also finished the book How to Win Friend and Influence People by Dale Carnegie which is a classic. I really feel like all the tips he provides are just as relevant today as they were when the book was written in 1936. I read some of the book every morning during my morning routine (to read more about my routine click here) and use the tips I read about throughout the day and they help me to be aware of how I interact with others and the best way to handle certain situations. This weekend, I started reading Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman in the morning and also started reading A Spark of Light by Jodi Picoult.
