My Long Weekend

 Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. This weekend turned into a very long weekend for me. I was originally scheduled to work on Friday due to our business being in the US. Then we found out this past week that we have Friday and Monday off. Friday was so relaxing, I worked on the puzzle and did yoga after so long not doing it. On Saturday we had some friends over for a BBQ, I got groceries and prepared beforehand. It was fun hanging out with them on our terrace and it was the perfect weather. Then on Sunday I had my parents over for a visit and we sat outside. Today is the last day off and I knitted, played Sims, did the puzzle, and did some cleaning and yoga.

I started knitting socks using the perfect pair yarn from Loops & Threads in the colorway drive all night. I am knitting the socks using Loops & Threads size US 2 2.75 mm double pointed needles. I love the pattern of the self striping yarn it looks so interesting. I am using the pattern for basic knit socks on the yarn label intermediate level.

I worked on the puzzle more after a long break and finished it. Millie loves to jump on the table onto the puzzle and bite the pieces. Today she did a bit then gave up when I stopped her a few times. Once she moved, I could finish it. I bought this 500 Ravensburger puzzle called Cozy retreat on Amazon. I loved working on this puzzle and wish I could jump into the scene it looks so cozy and fun place to just hang out and work on crafts and hobbies.

On Friday, Millie saw her chance to check out our storage box I was filling for under the bed and jumped in. She didn't stay in it too long and let me finish filling it up.

Millie was very relaxed and happy in this photo on Thursday night. She knew it would be a good weekend with lots of relaxing time with mom and dad.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! I am working to get back to my schedule after a long break off. I have been feeling good lately.  I still have some moments when I feel a bit nauseous but it is much better and less than in my first trimester. I hope that you all have a great week!

Weekend Working on the Puzzle and Relaxing

 Hello Friends,

I hope that you are doing well. The weekend flew by again and I didn't do as much as planned. I spent Saturday getting groceries, studying for my LOMA course, doing Laundry, and relaxing. On Sunday I studied more and then I chatted with my parents on Facetime for quite awhile and then relaxed and worked on my puzzle. Later on in the evening I watched Before the 90 days and planned my my Happy Planner for the week.

I worked more on the puzzle I had taken a bit of a break with the puzzle lately. It was nice and relaxing to work on it more.

I bought Millie a couple of new toys this weekend. Here she is below playing with the new toy that springs up when you push it down, has catnip inside and a feather on top. She went crazy over this toy right when I gave it to her. She was rolling around with it and was so playful.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! I hope that you also had a good weekend and have a great week ahead!

Weekend Family time and Relaxing

 Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. This weekend flew by and I really enjoyed it. I went with Liam to visit some friends on Friday night, then Saturday I spent a lot of quality time at home. On Sunday, my family visited and spent time with us and Millie. It was a great weekend and went by too quickly as usual. Here are some photos from the weekend of Millie.

She loves sitting in bags and I haven't seen her go into boxes, but she did this weekend it was so cute.

When my family came over, my dad threw a blanket over Millie and then she was cozy so she stayed all wrapped up like a burrito.

After my family left, Millie was napping for hours and this is her finally waking up and cleaning.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! I hope that you had a great weekend too.

Have a great day!

Weekend Baking, Reading and Thoughts

 Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. This weekend went by fast and I enjoyed visiting with family and having some time to relax. On Saturday I baked banana bread using the "best banana bread recipe" from the website Mom on Timeout. It was so delicious and fun to bake again and the whole house always smells so good with baking bread in our home.

I visited my sister on Sunday, it was nice spending time with her and seeing my nephew. He is getting big! He is 10 months old now and it is so fun to hang out with him. I visited my mom and dad afterwards and spent time with the cats as well. Moo snuggled with me it was so nice spending time with them again too.

I was reading Expecting Better by Emily Oster. It was a very informative book and it is so interesting reading more and more about pregnancy and trends. I am also reading Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid and getting more into the story.

I have been watching the invasion of Russia to Ukraine lately, and it is so upsetting seeing what is going on and it needs to stop. I really hope there is an end to this war and it doesn't escalate and get worse and spread to other countries. It really is creating fear and uneasiness. I really feel so sorry for Ukrainians and hope that this ends for them soon in the best outcome. My work is matching donations to the Red Cross and I am donating towards this cause to help in a way that I can.

Thank you for visiting my blog today,  I hope that you have a great weekend and good start to your week!

Weekend Putting Things Together

 Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. This weekend we saw family and went out to an Italian restaurant. It was nice to go eat indoors again after so long.  Sunday was a really nice warm day and I look forward to more days like this as we get closer to Spring. I was working on some projects around the house and put together my frame for our wedding photos. We ordered the gallery frame from Amazon by the brand Songmics. I am happy with how it turned out! The frames all come separate and then you connect them and nail them together. The photos aren't very clear here but I will share some photos from our wedding soon.

We also put together the last of our chairs from IKEA. We have the Ekedalen dining room set with extendable table and the dark brown chairs to go with it. The chairs have been so hard to find as stock has been low, so I am so grateful to finally have all of our chairs.

Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you had a good weekend and have a good start to your week.

Have a great day!

Weekend With Family and a New Puzzle

 Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. This weekend we got a few things done and I started my new Ravensburger puzzle called cozy retreat on Amazon. It is another cozy scene puzzle. I wish I could jump into this puzzle as it is a perfect scene and there's even yarn in the puzzle. I didn't realize I bought the large size puzzle pieces, so this puzzle will be big! I am still putting together the edge pieces and will keep working on the edges this week.

My parents came by to visit this Sunday and spend time with Millie. I also gave them photos from the wedding. We are still wrapping up wedding stuff even now it takes quite awhile for us to complete everything. I have plans to share on the blog my wedding day as I only shared one photo and have so many more to share now. It was truly a wonderful day.

After my parents left, Millie was very tired and slept about 5 hours. She had a lot of playtime during their visit.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! How was your weekend?

Have a great day!

Happy Family Day! Long Weekend Relaxation

 Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. Happy Family Day to those in Canada and President's Day to those in the states. It was the long weekend this weekend we had family day today. This weekend has been so nice and relaxing and much needed. On Saturday I did grocery shopping and Sunday I cleaned the washrooms and did laundry and facetimed with family. Then today I spent a lot of time reading and finishing my book and then studying for my course. We also went for a walk it was a sunny day, so it was really nice going out. We had banana chocolate chip pancakes this morning. I enjoyed having more time this morning to make them and enjoyed eating them with Liam and chatting.

I finished reading The Bookshop of Yesterdays by Amy Meyerson today. It was such a wonderful story and I enjoyed uncovering the mystery of the novel along with the protagonist. I am going to be continuing on reading Expecting Better by Emily Oster and Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid this week. I also started doing some planning for the week in my Happy Planner. It always helps me to get an idea of the week ahead. I like to plan at the start of the week to jot down important events, appointments, and to plan out my goals and what I want to accomplish for the week.

It was nice spending more time this weekend playing with Millie. She is such so playful and likes to be around us. Usually on a Monday Liam and I are both still working from home, but I had a bit of a playtime with her in between her naps today.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope that you enjoyed your weekend too and have a great start to your week. This week I am planning on knitting more of my copy cat cowl and reading more of my other books.

Have a great day!

Happy Valentine's day! Knitted Heart and Finished Puzzle

 Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. Happy Valentine's day! I had a good weekend, we celebrated my mom's birthday this weekend and had dinner at my sister's place. The weekend flew by and it was nice spending it with family and getting a few things done.

I finished knitting a small plush heart this weekend for Valentine's day. I used the pattern Hearts by Amanda Berry on Ravelry. I used 3.25 mm knitting needles and some left over worsted weight light pink yarn. I filled the heart with poly-fil stuffing once the heart was complete.

I finished making the puzzle I have been working on since January. It was a fun puzzle and I loved the image of the cozy scene. My sister got it for me from Indigo for Christmas the name of the puzzle is warm & cozy.

Tonight we will be ordering some takeout for dinner from an Italian restaurant for Valentine's day. Liam bought me flowers and chocolate and it has been a nice Valentine's Day so far. I hope you enjoy your day too!

Weekend Knitting Copycat Cowl and Reading

 Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. This weekend was a really nice one filled with visits with our families and good times. I did a bit of knitting and reading here and there. I also worked more on the puzzle and will show you once it is done. The weekends always go by so fast.

I knitted more of the Copycat cowl by Verna Glass on Ravelry. I like how it is turning out and interesting how you keep increasing the number of stitches as you go. I wasn't sure when I cast on the 88 stitches if it would be wide enough, but you do add on to the original number of stitches.

I read more of The Bookshop of Yesterdays by Amy Meyerson. The book is turning out to be so intriguing with lots of mystery and I am still reading on to find more answers. I have the other two books on the go as well, Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid and Expecting Better by Emily Oster. I am trying to focus on Bookshop for now to finish this week.

Hope you had a good weekend too and have a great week ahead!

Snow is Falling and Reflection

 Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. I had a good weekend and it always feels like it flies by. I didn't do too much, just got groceries, read, and cleaned. Liam and I watched Wonder Woman 1984 finally and it was good. Today there is a crazy blizzard outside for a Monday morning and it started last night. I am so grateful to be working from home and not have to go out in this storm. This is really the worst storm we have had so far this Winter. I am feeling happy and calm this morning looking out the window at the snow. I have always loved the feeling of being inside on a snowy day or even going out for a walk it is always quiet and the snow covers everything in such a nice white sheet of snow.

Millie watching the snow

I attended a wonderful Insight timer live event on Sunday morning with teacher Hugh Byrne. He was speaking about being present and lately I have been working on being present. It is so hard to be present and this is truly where we feel most at peace. I think this snow brings me to the present moment as I look outside in awe at the amount of snow and the speed it is falling down. I recommend his meditations on Insight Timer as he has such a calming voice and I think I will take his course where he includes poems and how to use them during meditation.

I wanted to share a few winter quote photos to start off our week under snow. I hope I can keep my power on today while working.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you had a good weekend and have a great start to your week.  I will be posting some knitting and reading updates on Wednesday hope to see you soon.

Weekend Family Time

 Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. I had a good weekend and didn't do too much on Saturday mostly relaxed and did some knitting and reading. I am still working on the stocking knitted some of the foot and reading The Bookshop of Yesterdays by Amy Meyerson. On Sunday, we had my family come over to our place for my dad's birthday lunch. It was so nice spending time together. We got Thai food from a local restaurant in Toronto that was so delicious.

Liam, my Dad, my Mom, Millie and I.

My dad with Millie

Millie and Luca were so cute together and Millie was gentle with my nephew. She went up the the baby carrier and was looking over at him. Here she is under the chair peeking over at him.

Millie was so tired after a long day of preparing for our guests and then busy time with family and baby. She slept for over four hours after everyone left.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and I hope that you also had a good weekend! It is stage two lock down in Toronto now so there are restrictions once again. The omicron cases keep rising and it is really frustrating and difficult dealing with this constantly. I am grateful for these family gatherings and time spent together. We are all being safe and I am grateful I have been working from home this whole time. I will be posting another blog post this week on Wednesday.

Have a great day!
