Current Projects!

Hello everyone,

i Hope you are having a great Sunday! These are a couple projects I've been working on lately.  I knitted the green mitten and just have the thumb to complete (where I went wrong the last time) and then I started knitting this colourful sock!

Patterns:

Mitten:
Cast on 40 stitches in the round and divide 20 stitches between the two ends of a circular needle.  Knit in rib stitch knit two, purl two until cuff if the length you desire.  Then knit an entire row and then on the second row mark your four stitches for the start thumb gusset increase.  knit until up to top of fingers and then beginn decrease (decrease 2 stitches every other row until you reach the top of your fingers) and do Kitchener closure. 

Sock:
Cast on 40 stitches onto circular needle.  Divide the stitches into 20 per needle end.  Do rib stitch, knit two, purl two until you get the desired length for your ankle.  Then begin knit stitch and finish with a decrease and then kitchener closure.

Hey !

I hope you all had a great week. I know I did. Some things this week.... the weather was threatening us here in Toronto to be much worse than it turned out to be. We ended up with not even a thin layer of snow. I laughed when I looked outside yesterday morning and say nothing there. It's funny how the weather gets to hyped up to be something it's not.

I have been knitting knitting knitting this week. I have almost completed the first mitten. I dont't think you need to see another photo of it yet since I posted pictures of the last one that went wrong. I'll post when I am done them :) speaking of knitting, I will start looking for some cute easter knitting ideas to do and post on my blog and add the pattern so you can also attempt the easter themed project too.

I dyed my hair a dark brown color as you can see in my profile photo. I am loving it and have gotten numerous compliments at work. It always feels good to get complimented when you make a change instead of people putting it down. It seems to bring out my eyes more and brighten my face. :)

New beginnings

Hello !

I'm sorry It has been a long time now since I posted. I went through a break up in December and although I know it's no excuse to go and drop one of your passions, I sadly admit knitting got pushed aside during my months of weeping. But now I am back and I am getting back into knitting. I started the mittens again since the last time the thumb was huge. I am actually trying again and I'll definitely watch how big the thumb is getting this time :)
