10 wrapping paper alternatives for Christmas

Hello Friends!

Below are 10 wrapping paper ideas that I found on different websites and blogs for you to enjoy.   The ideas are all amazing alternatives to buying wrapping paper for gifts this holiday season.  I hope you see an idea you love and want to try out for yourself! I know I do!

An idea of using small cardboard boxes and adding a winter detail on the lid.  Then you can give the gift of jewelery in a festive box. Found on Pinterest, made by Espieglerie.

This brown paper bag with a festive photo attached is a great way to dress up a present without buying wrapping paper.  The idea was found on Fox on the Run’s Tumblr account.

Wrapping gifts in fabric is a fun way to play around with patterns and colors by le papier studio.

I love this idea from DIY network to buy old vintage cookie tins and use them for gifting.  I like the added touch of the red ribbon to give it a more festive touch.

Putting gifts in a jar and topping it off with a bow and tag is a lovely way to display a gift for a loved one.  Design Sponge showed us a sweet way to give the gift of a traditional hot chocolate.

The Berry had a neat idea to wrap your gift in brown paper and then stamp the gift receiver’s name directly onto the package.  It is such a nice idea, and no fuss with tags!

Fadedplains showed us that using a burlap sack is another great alternative to wrapping gifts. It can look beautiful with a ribbon and a flower tied on top.

Decorating a wooden basket like Santas red suit and adding a belt is a very fun and festive way to deliver your gifts.  Idea by KindredLive.

Wrapping a gift in a map for any travel lovers on your list by Design Sponge

What about wrapping your gift in newspaper and topping it off with a big festive ornament? Looks amazing! Found on Pinterest.

I bought two Christmas cookie tins and a cardboard box from Value Village tonight for $4.  I’m going to work on the vintage cookie tin idea for my own Christmas gifts.  I’ll post an entry when I’m done adding the ribbons.   I will definitely be trying out a bunch of these ideas! My family will be impressed this year by the variety!

  2. Only just recently started prepping for Christmas. Just haven't gotten into the Christmas mood, but ready or not it's almost here. I really like the idea of the vintage tins except I'd have to go around and collect them all after the presents were opened. :)
